DoD Directive 5240.01 is a policy directive that replaces a policy from 2007. This policy directs the federal, active-duty military on the limitations of assistance that it can provide during DSCA or Defense Support to Civil Authorities. The document does not mean that America will enter a period of martial law, nor does it "newly allow" the use of lethal force against Americans. These accusations have been manufactured by disinformation agents to stoke political division. This lie was spread by former General Michael Flynn: Robbert F.
