Misinformation Mall : Narratives From the Australian Mall Stabbing AttackHow China will Create Division Down UnderThe aftermath of the Westfield Bondi Junction incident in Sydney, Australia, saw 5 dead and perhaps up to 20 injured from a knife-wielding attacker. But this video isn't about the attack itself—it's about the disinformation onslaught that follows. On Saturday, April 13th, a knife-wielding man entered the Westfield Bondi Junction Mall in Sidney, Australia (-33.8920691,151.2500382). He was later shot dead by police. Narratives that the attacker targeted Jews began immediately. As well as narratives that the attacker was Muslim.. And narratives that the problem was lazy policing. Note that as of 11:10 on April 13th ET, the identity of the attacker, the timeline and location of the attacks was not known. However, we do know that the mall is divided into two sections. Those sections are connected by a skybridge that covers the 1st 2nd and 3rd floors. There is an “Israeli Restaurant” in the South Complex called “Kibbutz”. Which is only 500 feet and 4 stories below the “Bondi Alterations” store, where the attacker was stopped in the north complex. It is not implausible that an attack could have began at the restaurant but ended at the Bondi Alterations. In the coming days, The People’s Republic of China will likely use this to further divide Australians over politics. You're currently a free subscriber to The official Ryan McBeth Substack.
